After about one and a half hour drive on a AC Minivan, we will arrive to Tossa de Mar, located in the heart of Costa Brava. We will get ready and start hiking across the famous “Camí de Ronda” coastline path. This trail connects all Costa Brava towns from north to south. Camí de Ronda will bring you to areas of great natural beauty that you never imagined finding here. From here we will enjoy unique views: the beautiful mediterranean sea, breathtaking cliffs hanging over the sea and small hidden coves, where we will have free time to swim in its transparent waters sunbathe and enjoy its peace. Fragances of pine trees, rosemary and thyme will follow us along the way.Show More

The Camí de Ronda will bring us back to the Tossa de Mar where we will enjoy a well deserved 3 course lunch in our selected traditional local restaurant.

After lunch we will have the chance to visit Tossa de Mar, an ancient fishermen’s village with an important historical background. We will walk around the emblematic Vila Vella or old town, the sole remaining fortified medieval town on the catalan coast dating from 13th century, which remains in great state of conservation. Behind the impressive city walls and defensive towers we will find a labyrinth of narrow streets and alleys surrounded by beautiful white houses that gives the town a true mediterranean atmosphere..

Before coming back to Barcelona we will go to Sant Joan castle from where we will have the chance to enjoy a panoramic view of Blanes bay.

Ramon is an excellent guide, very knowledgeable of the flora and fauna as well as the history of the area and Barcelona in general.

Wish there had been more time to enjoy the beach! There were parts of the trail that required steep climbing however overall the views were absolutely stunning. Our tour guide Christian was absolutely amazing and helped our group traverse the more difficult sections. He was patient, knowledgeable and we enjoyed the snacks that were provided. A small part of the hike was through a new campsite/road, however in November it was empty which enhanced our experience of a semiprivate beach cove. Approx 5 mile hike.

Ramon was an awesome guide! The whole family had a great time. Walked about 8 miles but there was plenty of beautiful scenery that you don’t think about the distance.

We had our most favourable day in our trip to Barcelona with our local guide Christian, from Catalan trails company. Christian was amazing! Knowledgeable, attentive and pleasant to tour with! It was an excellent experience. I would highly recommend him and Catalan trails. We were a small group, just had one more traveller with us, so it was definitely like a “boutique” private tour. The car is comfortable and spacious with good AC. And Christian made sure we have enough water for the hike. We travelled as a couple, with our older daughter. We all loved the trip. We like nature and hiking so it was a perfect day. We started with the hike around Tossa de Mar, in national park and then coastal path with beautiful coast views! We passed through small natural little beach, and ended up in Tossa de Mar. We had some free time to spend there for a swim in the sea and lunch. And continued on a guided tour in little allies and fortress of old town. Definitely the best trip! Thank You!

We were on holiday with friends and someone signed us up for the Costa Brava tour. Prompt pickup in Barcelona, about hour and half drive up the coast. We opted for a coffee before the hike and then off! Beautiful hiking through forests. Not a hard hike and the guide paces to the groups ability. Then you start hiking along the coast, which is stunning! We are back in Tossa Del Mar for lunch, followed by a tour of the ancient castle. Takes most of the day, but well worth it. The guide is friendly, knowledgeable and able to answer most questions. Excellent driver too!

We were picked up by Catalan Trais in the center of Barcelona. The drive was 1.25 hours to Tossa Del Mar. The hike entailed a 4.7 mile intermediate trail with some undulations from the forest behind Tossa Del Mar down to the beach, up the coastline, north of the city, and then 2 miles along the cliffs back to town. Views were breathtaking and Ramone, are guide, was very informative about the vegetation, geology and general history of the region. After a three course lunch (incredible paella!) we wandered the streets of the 10th Century old town of Tossa Del Mar, which was fascinating in its history, before heading back to Barcelona. The four of us with very impressed with Ramone professionalism and knowledge. Would highly recommend Catalan Trails!

There is nothing quite like sea air and a walk in the woods to discard city stress. We did this hike our first full day in Barcelona and it was perfect timing. Our guide was easy to locate, warm, but not overly talkative, and very knowledgeable about his native Catalyan. The morning hike was a good workout, but not overly strenuous. The views were stunning. However, don’t be disappointed, but a good portion of the hike was not a long the coast. The purpose of this choice was to create a loop. The lunch was tasty. I have dietary restrictions and the guide worked with me in advance to make sure I had choices for the day. Finally, the walk through the fortress at Tossa de Mar was a great way to end the day.
